event illustration

We have launched an updated Beer Altas, with the novelties of which we can't wait to introduce you!

Two varieties from the oldest brewery in Upper Bavaria appeared on the taps: soft and refreshing Schnitzlbaumer Hell and wheat Schnitzlbaumer Weisse. The famous cherry lambic «Timmermans» Kriek Lambicus is also returning. Lambics under the Timmermans brand have been preserving the traditions of the production of this magnificent drink for 300 years and are the oldest Belgian fruit beer in the world.Blanche de Namur is a white wheat beer of the highest quality. This beer surprises with its roundness and delicacy, delicate acidity and almost complete absence of bitterness. Its aroma is refined, with spicy notes of coriander and Curacao orange. «Blanche de Namur» is the know—how of Du Bocq brewery, it won the title of the best Wietbier beer in 2009, 2013 and 2014 according to the WBA.Filou (Filou) is a fresh addition to the Van Honsbourg line already known to us, which was released in 2014. Using Belgian and Czech aromatic hops, Filou offers soft fruitiness and light hop bitterness.

There are also a lot of updates on bottle positions:— Reutberger" Heller Bock — a powerful amber lager with a solid malt base;— a line of heles and weizens from the family brewery Riegele from Augsburg. In total, the Augsburg brewery produces 22 beers on a regular basis, among which there are representatives of the «new wave» of German brewing and classic varieties. Attention to the brewery is not connected with the «quality» of its traditional varieties (almost any German brewery is unlikely to disappoint with this), but with the niche that Riegele occupies in German brewing. The brewery with the golden horse on the logo has long chosen its own special path in brewing, becoming an example of successful innovation in a part of Germany where tradition determines too much;— pilsner and non-alcoholic beer from the Austrian Eggenberg. It is located in Forchdorf, in the Austrian Alps, on the banks of the Alm River, which is a source of water used in production. Today it is one of the leading breweries in Europe;— French ciders from Normandy brand Sassy: Rose and Bio. «Sassy» Bio is an organic Norman cider made from five varieties of apples grown near the Chateau de Sassi. This delicate and well—balanced semi-dry cider is a real fruit hit with notes of terroir in the taste;— non-alcoholic ales: walnut porter and hopped ale from the brewery from St. Petersburg Zero Point. So far, the only brewery in Russia that brews only non-alcoholic varieties!— Anchor No. 3 is raspberry ale — a limited edition from the private Crimean brewery Anchor;— a line of four classic varieties from the Dreamteam Brew brewery located in Moscow.

We are looking forward to all Lambic restaurants for Beer Atlas novelties!

Belgian cherry beer Kriek (Shouting)

If you are a fan of beer and want to diversify your experience with an unexpected and absolutely amazing refreshing fruit aftertaste, we certainly recommend you Belgian cherry beer Kriek. Kriek cherry beer is a variation of the Belgian beer Lambic, famous for its ancient brewing tradition. The name "Lambic" was inherited from the old Belgian city of Lembeek. And the word "Kriek" comes from the name of a variety of dark red cherries. The recipe for cherry beer dates back to the time of the Crusades. Legend has it that a crusader returning from a crusade wanted to brew beer that resembled the blood of Christ. To make it, he added a bitter cherry to the beer. Since then, this cherry-flavored drink with a subtle almond flavor became extremely popular in Belgium and then all over Europe. According to ancient recipes, Belgian brewers still use dried cherries today and add them to the beer before the fermentation. The ratio of cherry juice in beer is about 30%. The beverage acquires a deep rich color. Already brewed beer is aged for 2-3 months before being served. More recently, another fruity variety of lambic has been released in Belgium: a sunny colored drink with a peach flavor and delicate aroma - "Lambic Peche". By the way, if you use raspberries instead of cherries, the result is a beautiful Belgian beer "Frambozen". When you visit our Belgian brasserie Lambic, be sure to order a Belgian cherry beer "Kriek".
